Acceptable Use Policy

Data you upload

• Only upload data you have the right to process, with any notices or consents your customers are owed already handled.
• Upload the minimum needed for matching. Don't include columns the service doesn't use.
• Don't upload special-category data — health conditions, biometric or genetic data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or precise financial account numbers. CloseRev isn't designed to hold it.
• Don't upload data obtained unlawfully, scraped in breach of a website's terms, or bought from a data broker without a lawful basis.

Use of the service

Don't:

• Break the law, or help anyone else to.
• Try to access another customer's workspace or data, or probe, scan or test our security without written permission.
• Overload the service — no automated bulk requests beyond normal use, no denial-of-service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the service to build a competing product.
• Resell or sublicense access without our written agreement. (Agencies using client workspaces on an Enterprise plan are expressly fine — that's what it's for.)
• Share a single login between people. Seats are per person.
• Misrepresent CloseRev's output — for example presenting attributed figures to a client as guaranteed or audited when they're an estimate based on the data supplied.

Security research

We welcome good-faith reports. Email security@closerev.com before testing anything intrusive, don't access data that isn't yours, and give us reasonable time to fix an issue before disclosing it. We won't pursue researchers who follow that.

Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been breached we may limit, suspend or terminate access. Except where the breach is serious or ongoing — or where the law requires immediate action — we'll contact you first and give you a chance to put it right.
