The blind spot

What's actually happening

Enquiries are plentiful and mostly unqualified. The relationships that fund are worth years of recurring fees, and enquiry counts cannot distinguish between them.

Funded, not enquiries

Rank channels by accounts actually funded and the fees they earn.

Trust takes months

An enquiry in spring funded in autumn still traces to the campaign behind it.

Compliance-friendly

No tracking scripts on client-facing pages. Two exports, reconciled afterwards.

The number you can take into a budget meeting

Not impressions, not leads, not cost per click. Closed revenue, by the channel that produced it, for a period you choose — with the portion we could not trace shown rather than quietly shared out across your paid channels.

Referral dominates, and that is the number to know

Most advisory firms are built on referral from existing clients, accountants and lawyers. Advertising supplements that; it rarely replaces it, and any tool reporting a high attributed share is redistributing referral volume into paid channels.

A large Direct / Unknown bucket is the correct answer here. Knowing that referral is over half of new fee revenue is itself the finding — it tells you the marketing question is how to support referral, not how to outspend it.

Compliance makes the no-install property matter

Advisory firms operate under marketing rules that make new scripts on client-facing pages a review rather than a task, and archiving obligations that make new data flows a question for compliance.

There is nothing to install. Two exports, reconciled after the fact, with no tag on any page and no live connection to a CRM. For this segment that is often the difference between a project that happens and one that stalls in review.

What changes when you can prove it

You stop defending the budget and start growing it

"We generated 400 leads" invites an argument. "This channel closed $186,400 last quarter, here is the reconciliation" ends one. The teams that can show closed revenue by channel are the teams that get the next increase approved, because they are asking with evidence rather than with conviction.

You can cut the wrong channel without a fight

Killing spend is politically harder than adding it, because someone always owns the channel being cut. A number that reconciles to the sales export takes the argument out of the room — you are not overruling a colleague's judgement, you are reading the same ledger they are.

Your reporting survives the finance review

Platform-reported conversions do not reconcile to revenue, and eventually someone in finance notices. Reporting built from your own closed-sales export starts from the number finance already trusts, which is why it holds up when it is checked.

You answer in an afternoon, not a quarter

Because this reconciles exports rather than tracking visitors, it works on months that have already closed. You are not instrumenting now to learn something in ninety days — you can answer for last quarter today, which is usually when the question is being asked.

What wealth management usually push back on

Client data is highly sensitive.

The match needs a contact detail, a fee figure and a date — no balances, no holdings, no statements. Encrypted, isolated per workspace, deletable in one click, DPA available.

Most of our growth is referral.

Then it belongs in Direct / Unknown, shown rather than credited to advertising. Its size is the most useful number on the report.

Our compliance team reviews every new tool.

Nothing is installed and nothing connects. You upload two exports; that is a materially shorter review than an integration.

Pricing

Flat monthly pricing with no per-call, per-minute or per-form fees. The number here is the number on the invoice. Most wealth management land on Enterprise — ten seats for the team and the highest monthly record allowance, since a year of closed deals is a lot of rows.
