«Epicor already reports sales by customer.»
It does. It has no record of the trade show, enquiry or campaign that opened the account.
Para Epicor
Export invoices from Epicor, upload the leads and quote requests behind them, and rank sources on the accounts they opened.
CloseRev reads an Epicor export of invoices — the account's contact phone or email, the amount and the date — and matches it against the trade shows, enquiries, quote requests and campaigns that opened the account. For manufacturers and distributors a customer is an account that orders repeatedly and often grows, so the value of a source is what its accounts bought over a year or two, not the first order. Revenue with no traceable lead is reported as Direct / Unknown.

La brecha
Sales reports show orders and reps. Nothing shows which marketing opened the accounts that now carry the business.
The buyer or purchasing contact on the account. Accounts often have several, and any of them should join.
Invoiced sales per account.
Both. The account's first invoice is the acquisition; everything after it is the account growing.
Who handles the account. Needed to separate what the marketing did from what the rep did.
Paso a paso
Escrito para quien tiene Epicor abierto en la pestaña de al lado. Los nombres de los informes varían según la edición, así que cada paso indica qué buscar.
One row per invoice with an account contact detail, the amount and the date.
The person who enquired is often not the person who orders. Any known contact should join the account.
Trade show scans, website enquiries, requests for quotation and distributor referrals, including the quotes that were lost.
New accounts usually start small and grow, and a short window measures only the trial order.
The join runs on the phone and the email, normalised, with first-year and later revenue reported apart.
Industrial buyers usually test a new supplier with a small order before moving more of their spend to it.
Ranked on the first order, every source looks modest and the differences between them are noise.
Summing each account's invoices over two years shows which sources opened accounts that grew into meaningful customers.
That is the ranking that should set next year's trade show and campaign budget, and it usually differs from a first-order ranking.
The report shows the median account beside the total, because one very large account can otherwise decide a source's result on its own.
Trade shows are often the largest marketing line for a manufacturer or distributor, and among the least measured.
Badge scans and meeting notes carry the visitor's company, phone and email. Kept as a lead file, they match against the accounts that later ordered.
Over two years, the report shows what each show produced in account revenue against what it cost to attend.
Shows that produce a lot of conversations and few accounts become visible, as do smaller shows that quietly produce the best customers.
The scans are the part most often lost. They sit in a rep's inbox or a spreadsheet after the event and never reach a system, so the show's results can only be argued about. Keeping them as a file, with the show named on every row, is what turns a line in the events budget into something that can be ranked.
Much industrial business is quoted: a request for quotation arrives, engineering or estimating prices it, and the customer accepts or goes elsewhere.
Every quote costs time whether or not it is won, and sources differ in how many quotes they generate per order.
Including quote requests, lost ones as well, shows the win rate per source beside the revenue.
A source producing many requests from buyers gathering prices is expensive in estimating time, which no revenue-only report shows.
The report also shows the lag from quote to first order per source. In industries where a qualified supplier list is reviewed once a year, a quote that loses today can become an account at the next review, and a short window would count it as a loss for good.
In a business with field sales, the rep who manages an account shapes how much it grows, and reps are not assigned to accounts at random.
Without the rep in the file, a source whose accounts happened to go to the strongest reps looks better than it is.
Carrying the rep and territory through lets the report compare sources within the same rep's accounts, which removes most of the distortion.
It also shows the reverse: a strong source whose accounts are struggling under a particular territory, which is a sales-management finding rather than a marketing one.
Preguntas justas
It does. It has no record of the trade show, enquiry or campaign that opened the account.
Then the report will show it, and carrying the rep through keeps the two from being confused.
Industrial accounts take that long to show what they are worth. The first order is a trial.
No. It reads a file you exported, so your ERP, orders and customer records stay where they are.
Invoices by account with a contact detail, the amount and the date.
Because the person who enquired is often not the person who orders.
Two years, because new accounts usually start with a trial order and grow.
Yes, where badge scans or meeting notes are kept as a lead file.
Yes. They cost estimating time, and the win rate per source is one of the most useful outputs.
Yes, where the export carries the rep and territory.
Yes, recorded as a source when the lead arrives, and named so each can be ranked.
The median account is shown beside the total so one account cannot decide a source's ranking unnoticed.
Any account revenue with no traceable lead. Its size is stated rather than distributed.
A contact detail, an amount and a date, plus a rep or territory if you include them. No parts, no pricing, no drawings, no contracts. Encrypted in transit and at rest and deleted with the import.
Account revenue per source over two years, first-year and later revenue apart, quote win rate, and everything unmatched kept visible.
