The blind spot
Consultations are easy to generate and most do not convert. A rhinoplasty and a filler appointment arrive through the same ad and differ by a factor of twenty in value.
What you get
Rank channels by what was billed, so a channel producing few large procedures wins properly.
A consultation in March booked in September still traces to the ad that produced it.
A contact detail, an amount and a date. No clinical or procedure detail needed.
A worked example
Not impressions, not leads, not cost per click. Closed revenue, by the channel that produced it, for a period you choose — with the portion we could not trace shown rather than quietly shared out across your paid channels.
| Channel | Sales | Revenue | Share | % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Ads | 52 | $167,400 | 31% | |
| Google Ads | 38 | $145,800 | 27% | |
| Email marketing | 14 | $48,600 | 9% | |
| Direct / Unknown | 49 | $178,200 | 33% |
Cosmetic surgery marketing is measured on consultation bookings because that is what the website produces. Most consultations do not proceed, conversion differs enormously by channel, and procedure values differ more.
Ranking by billed procedure separates the channel that fills a consultation diary from the channel that fills an operating list. They are frequently not the same, and the gap is widest for the highest-value procedures.
An elective surgical decision is discussed with a partner, saved for, and scheduled around work and recovery. Six months between first enquiry and surgery is ordinary.
Because matching is on the patient rather than a browser session, the September procedure is credited to the March ad. It also means a season that has already closed can be analysed properly, which is how you find out whether last year's campaign actually paid.
Why it matters
"We generated 400 leads" invites an argument. "This channel closed $186,400 last quarter, here is the reconciliation" ends one. The teams that can show closed revenue by channel are the teams that get the next increase approved, because they are asking with evidence rather than with conviction.
Killing spend is politically harder than adding it, because someone always owns the channel being cut. A number that reconciles to the sales export takes the argument out of the room — you are not overruling a colleague's judgement, you are reading the same ledger they are.
Platform-reported conversions do not reconcile to revenue, and eventually someone in finance notices. Reporting built from your own closed-sales export starts from the number finance already trusts, which is why it holds up when it is checked.
Because this reconciles exports rather than tracking visitors, it works on months that have already closed. You are not instrumenting now to learn something in ninety days — you can answer for last quarter today, which is usually when the question is being asked.
Honest answers
Which is exactly the case click attribution loses. There is no window here — a procedure matches the enquiry that produced it whenever it lands, provided both are in the data you upload.
You should not. The match needs a contact detail, an amount and a date. No procedure codes, no notes, no images.
Then it belongs in Direct / Unknown rather than inflating a paid channel. In this segment referral is genuinely large and worth measuring on its own terms.
Pricing
The number here is the number on the invoice — no per-call, per-minute or per-form fees. Most plastic surgery and aesthetic surgical practices land on Growth — thirteen months of history to compare a month to the same month last year, and a PDF you can put in front of whoever holds the budget.

Completed, paid procedures: a patient phone number or email, the amount, and the date. Nothing clinical.
Yes — include a procedure-type column and the report breaks down by it.
As long as your data covers. There is no attribution window, because there is no cookie involved.
We do not offer a BAA and should not be treated as a business associate. Keep clinical detail out of the export; the match does not need it.
No. Phone or email, an amount and a date is enough.
Yes, with a surgeon column, which also shows where marketing-sourced work is landing.
Yes. Nothing had to be installed at the time.
Procedure rows analysed in a calendar month. Consultation and enquiry rows do not count.
